Life’s own difficulties, conflicts and losses sometimes overwhelm us and require specialized support so they do not become a bigger obstacle. The reasons for seeking counseling can vary, sometimes associated with very specific circumstances such as conflicts in the family or in the couple, anxiety in certain contexts, repetitive thoughts, social inhibitions, difficulties in studies or at work. But counseling can also be motivated by a general discomfort that is difficult to explain, associated with feelings of emptiness, anguish, feelings of failure or undefined fears.
People have the capacity to adapt, change and improve, but sometimes we can feel overwhelmed, paralyzed or repeat the same pattern of response without success and we need the support of a professional to move forward. Psychological therapy offers a space of listening and trust where we can address the situation of discomfort and emotional conflict, it enables a new way of understanding what is happening to us and promotes resources to change, to feel better or to be able to take decisions that have been postponed.
